Testing CoTracker2 for VFX inside my Silhouette RotoFury interface. The results are very promising for speeding up everyday VFX tasks such as tracking, roto, and matchmove.

It is one of the best ML algorithms currently available for this kind of work, with immediate practical applications.

A complete SynthEyes for VFX training course is available today on Borgo.tv Training. The course is in Portuguese and starts from scratch for beginners while covering the key topics needed to specialise in matchmoving.

the FreezeSplineWarp technique

In this video, I present the FreezeSplineWarp technique. It lets you matchmove and stabilise plates using Nuke’s SplineWarp node.

CornerPins limit you to four points, but this technique supports any number of points for finer control. I also show the scripts I developed to automate the process.
