Many artists using Nuke Indie, including my students on Nuke Non-Commercial, had trouble running DasGrain because of the Python limitations of these versions of Nuke. I fixed that.
With the blessing of DasGrain creator Fabian Holtz, I present DasGrain Indie on GitHub, which lets you run DasGrain inside Nuke Indie and Nuke Non-Commercial.
PS: The Voronoi trick is no longer needed. Shortly after The Foundry enabled BlinkScripts on Indie and Non-Commercial, you could skip “Step 1b” and use the original Voronoi scatter.
Katie Morris and I collaborated to create a suite of Python scripts for Boris FX Silhouette. These open-source scripts add significant functionality to the software and are useful for roto artists in everyday work.
