Dasgrain for Nuke Indie/Non-Commercial

13 May 2022Pipeline

Many artists using Nuke Indie, including my students on Nuke Non-Commercial, had trouble running DasGrain because of the Python limitations of these versions of Nuke. I fixed that.

With the blessing of DasGrain creator Fabian Holtz, I present DasGrain Indie on GitHub, which lets you run DasGrain inside Nuke Indie and Nuke Non-Commercial.

Also available on Nukepedia

PS: The Voronoi trick is no longer needed. Shortly after The Foundry enabled BlinkScripts on Indie and Non-Commercial, you could skip “Step 1b” and use the original Voronoi scatter.
