Nuke .fxs (Silhouette shape format) exporter

23 July 2013R&D

After developing and testing this tool for some time, it is ready for public release: the Nuke .fxs (Silhouette shape format) exporter.

This Nuke Python script lets you export shapes from any Roto or RotoPaint node to Silhouette Roto and Paint.

(Yes: Mocha shapes can now go into Silhouette when you need them.)

SUPPORTED FEATURES

Shape position/animation (baked) Shape Opacity Animation Shape Motion Blur Shape Overlay Color Shape Blending Modes Shape Inverted attribute Shape Open/Closed Delete repeated baked keyframes when possible

Nukepedia is not accepting new entries yet, so I'll post the script here for now .

I am working on an improved version without the need to bake all the keyframes. Please get in touch with feedback, bug reports, and requests!

the FreezeSplineWarp technique

16 June 2013R&D

In this video, I present the FreezeSplineWarp technique. It lets you matchmove and stabilise plates using Nuke’s SplineWarp node.

CornerPins limit you to four points, but this technique supports any number of points for finer control. I also show the scripts I developed to automate the process.

Here are the links to download the Python scripts for Nuke v7:
